Characterization through Possessions
This person's possessions say a lot about them.

Dirty Golfball
Balloon
This shows that this person does not play golf. You wouldn't allow your golfball to be that dirty...unless you are a slob. Also, they probably have young kids because they have a balloon. Little kids like those.

Sunglasses
Hand Lotion
Lip Treatment
Periwinkle phone
Altoids
The sunglasses are pretty hip, so this person is probably fashionable. They want to look cool. The hand lotion and lip treatment show that they want to portray themselves as feminine by keeping well moisturized and have well-treated lips. The periwinkle phone pushes the girly girl factor over the top.

Practical/tools
Keys
Flashlight
Tape Measure
Off Wipe (bug repellant)
Flashlight
Tape Measure
Protein Bar
While seemingly being a girly girl, this person also has a lot of practical items. Everything from a flashlight to a tape measure show that they want to be prepared. So they seem to be organized and attentive to planning ahead.

Reflection

Reflection
What gave you the strongest impression about the character you picked?
Shiflet is a rather sketchy. I thought he was going to be a cool person. He seemed to be animated and interesting. But the more statements he made that were nonsense, the more he lost my trust. I don't like it when people try to sound smart just to be showy. I don't think the mother in the story does either.

Would you hang out with him?
No. He would annoy me. He would be one of those guys who always tries to up you when you tell a story. Or either he would try to take advantage of you.

Reflection: What defines a person?

I think a person is defined by many things. Their socioeconomic level and where they grow up all make a person who they are. I guess their possessions will also define them. If they have a lot of books they will be seen as smart. If they have a lot of clothes they will be seen as more focused on their looks. If they have more Star Trek stuff they will be seen as nerdy.

Picture Profile

The man in this picture would probably be in his 30's. He is dressed in business attire and has a traditional haircut, so I would say he is a business man. He might be an accountant or something. He definitely works inside (judging by his skin-tone).

He does not look like he takes a lot of risks because of his haircut.
His glasses look traditional...even outdated, so he might be stuck in his past. He probably likes classic rock.

He looks nice because he has a nice smile. He would probably tell corny jokes. (Maybe I just think that because he looks like my dad.)

He is probably married because he is dressed interestingly, but he is not really well groomed. If he were single, he would have a better haircut. She might like it light that.
